Throughout this series, we have studied the church… and we have seen how the church is many things.
In Ephesians 1 we see that the church is a body… the body of Christ… we get that again in Ephesians 4.
In Ephesians 2 we read that the church is a temple. A dwelling place for the living God.
In Ephesians 3 we read that the church is a mystery, and in Ephesians 5 Paul explains that mystery in terms that we can somewhat understand, when he talks about marriage…
and he explains how the church is ALSO A BRIDE.
But in chapter 6, he tells us something very important about the church, that in modern day, 2017 America we don’t like to talk about, and that is that the church is also AN ARMY.
We are at war. And IF we don’t put on the armor,
we will become casualties of that war.
Paul ends the book of Ephesians by telling the church in Ephesus to put on the whole armor of God.

Most of us try and separate worship from working. Ministry is what we do on Sunday's, and everything else is "life" - but it doesn't work.
