Courage Church is a sending Church.
We believe that it is the job of the church to equip the saints for the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12) and so we value every moment we have with people, and we celebrate the moments when the Great Commission takes someone somewhere that we wouldn't be able to reach, if they didn't go.
On the day that this sermon was first given, Courage Church sent out one of the foundational couples in our church who were now moving to North Carolina.
2017 was a year of enormous transition for our church, as we sent some of our best on to the things that were best for their families and the communities that they were going to. It is always hard to see people go, but it is always amazing to see the ways that God uses them when they get where they are going, and the way he always provides for us when we are faithful to be a sending church.
The audio file below was taken from the Courage Church leadership Q&A with Pastors Brad and Stella Reed, Sunday night July 30, 2017.
The question was asked: "How do you handle when your best people transition out of your ministry?" And their response was incredibly helpful for anyone going through a season of transition, and was incredibly instrumental in this message.
